On 11–12 June, Seville will host the 2nd BioINSouth Forum, a two-day partner event of the EU Green Week, dedicated to advancing the circular bioeconomy through place-based approaches in Southern Europe, hosted locally by BioINSouth partner CTA. The event will take place within the framework of the Circular Bioeconomy Summit, organised by the Regional Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries, Water and Rural Development of the Government of Andalusia, in collaboration with CTA.
Building on the momentum of the 1st BioINSouth Forum held in Catania, the event will bring together public authorities, leading companies, research centres and strategic stakeholders from the Andalusian ecosystem, alongside prominent representatives of the circular bioeconomy at European level. The forum aims to accelerate the transition towards a more competitive, innovative and sustainable circular bioeconomy by connecting public policies, scientific knowledge and the business ecosystem. It will provide a platform for collaboration, knowledge exchange and the creation of strategic alliances among public authorities, companies, research centres and other relevant actors, featuring thematic sessions, discussions and networking opportunities addressing key challenges such as the valorisation of biological resources, innovation uptake and the development of sustainable value chains.
The members of the Bioeconomy HUB Centro BLUEBIO ALLIANCE and University of Coimbra will be present at the event.
