P-BIO, Portugal’s leading association for its biotech industry, is approaching a quarter century in existence. Its president, Simão Soares, tells PharmaBoardroom that there has been “substantial positive change” in the country’s biotech environment in these years, and – while the overall industry is still relatively modest in size compared to some of its European counterparts – he is able to highlight several Portuguese biotech success stories.
