Luzitin is a privately held pharmaceutical company focused on the development of photosensitizing compounds for Photodynamic Therapy (PDT).
Founded in 2010, after five years of research in collaboration between Bluepharma, the University of Coimbra and Coimbra University Hospitals, Luzitin is developing an innovative and very promising therapeutic procedure for solid tumors (LUZ11) and Acne (LUZACNE). Its proprietary technology consists of combining a new generation photosensitizer with a specific infrared laser medical device.
