Deifil is a plant biotechnology company founded in 2010, whose mission is to put “Biotechnology at the service of agriculture”. Its main area of activity focuses on the production of plants with inefficient or insufficient reproductive systems in the face of market demands, guaranteeing products in line with the needs of the main agricultural sectors.
A pioneer in Portugal in the use of in vitro fruit culture, Deifil has an annual production capacity of around two million plants.
The company uses advanced biotechnology tools to produce high-quality plants, ensuring plant health and genetic standards. To do this, it applies modern in vitro propagation techniques to species whose natural reproduction is limited.
Deifil’s products are developed in a personalized way, in close collaboration with customers. Its commitment to Research and Technological Development (R&D) is aimed at creating new products and continuously improving production processes.
With a consolidated R&D team and its own laboratory, Deifil maintains strategic partnerships with leading research centers and companies in the sector. These collaborations have resulted in several completed projects (such as ValorNatural, BIOma, PreVineGrape, MiChesnut3, BreedMartainha, CC&Nuts and Myco2Feed) and several others in the pipeline, both national (MiOlive3, MicroHealthChest) and international (CRISPit, FORECAST).
